Nature Garden UPDATE

We are pleased to announce that from 1st July, we will be resuming something closer to our normal (i.e., pre-COVID) approach, which is all about open access. We will therefore no longer be pre-booking sessions.

We will, however, have to continue adhering to Government guidelines regarding numbers on site. We are therefore setting the following maximums for each session, which will be implemented on a first-come, first-served basis:

Tuesdays: Forest School Foragers, 10:00-11:30: maximum 12 adults

Fridays: Stay-and-Play, 9:00-10:30 or 11:00-12:30: maximum 20 adults per session  Saturdays: Family Access, 10:30-13:00 and 13:30-16:00: maximum 20 adults per session

These numbers reflect the nature of the respective sessions (i.e., whether they are focused or free play). Should a family leave the site during one of these sessions, then we will be happy to welcome another family provided we continue to stay within our maximums.

The first session that will come under these guidelines is Marissa’s Stay-and-play on Friday 2nd July.

Also note that Forest School Foragers is a focused session rather than free play. We therefore request that you arrive promptly at 10:00.

So, to re-iterate, you no longer need to email in advance to book one of these sessions. They will function on a first-come, first-served basis and we hope that the numbers allocated to each session will afford access for all those who wish to attend.

Please also note the following important information about access over the summer holidays:

Saturday Family Access will continue through the summer except we will be closed on the Bank Holiday Weekend.

The weekday sessions are term-time only. The last session will be Marissa’s Stay-and-play on Friday 23rd July.

Unfortunately, we are still in a position where we cannot permit parents on-site during the summer playscheme.

Finally, please be aware that, as with everything at the moment, these plans are subject to change.

As funding bodies have been closing and donations get harder to secure, Oasis has found itself with a huge deficit this financial year. This means that unless we can raise the money to stay afloat until April 2025, we will need to close with immediate effect.

Please help us to keep Oasis going by donating to our Save Oasis Just Giving page. Other ways you can help:

1) Spread the word  | 2) Stick a poster in your front window – you are welcome to pop into any of the Oasis sites to collect some printed copies.

We feel confident that with the support of the community Oasisplay will survive the current situation. Please help by spreading the word and link to our fundraising page.
