ABOUT US

RIGHT TRACK PROJECT offers an exciting and challenging outdoor, petrol engine karting experience for children of all abilities aged 8+. The youth-led project combines the thrill of racing and driving with practical and educational opportunities for all young people.

We provide a number of different options to cater for all individuals and groups, whether its a one-off driving session, birthday party bookings or educational workshops. As an inclusive project, we encourage those with disabilities to come and use our service as we have specially adapted karts and an experienced staff team to ensure that everyone can take part in the thrill of go-karting.

 

Why not add a little more to your event by booking your group into Oasis Play’s Adventure Playground following your karting event. Situated opposite our track, the adventure playground has a bookable private function room and of course loads of play structures and equipment for the kids to burn off any excess energy they may have.

 

Our youth support programme PITSTOP, open to young people aged 13 – 17, aims to broaden the horizons of young people through a series of training covering go-kart mechanics and maintenance, track marshalling as well as volunteering opportunities. All PITSTOP members are supported by our on-site mentor who delivers additional activities, trips and workshops.

Arrive+Drive go-karting sessions are perfect for individuals or small groups who want to experience the thrill of driving a petrol go-kart. Suitable for first time drivers and more experienced racers, drivers are grouped in 4’s and will receive 2 x 10 minute races for just £15 p/person. All drivers are given full safety briefs including 1:1 driving instruction from one of our trained marshals before they set out. For the first time, parents will be able to jump on track to race with their kids! We strongly advise to book in advance of your visit.

PRICE

 

One-off Session: £15 p/driver

 

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must be at least 1.35m tall. Sessions operate on a first come first served basis so we advise you to book early to avoid disappointment.  We advise those wishing to book a session to do so in a group of 4. Suitable, closed footwear is essential, such as trainers and all jewellery must be removed prior to racing.

 


 

 

 

 

Drivers aged 8+ years of age (minimum 130cm height) can now race against other club members to take their first step to becoming the next Lewis Hamilton. Split into two age categories; Juniors (8-13 years) and Seniors (13-18 years), our Karting Clubs are the perfect opportunity for individuals to hone their driving skills, to make new friends and most importantly, have fun in a safe environment.

All of our karts are fitted with fully adjustable seats and pedals, a remote speed restriction and full body wrap around bumpers to provide a safe experience for your children. Our experienced team will be on hand to offer advice on how best to control the karts including tips on racing lines and overtaking manoeuvres.

Membership costs just £50 and entitles the member to attend any age appropriate karting club session throughout the year at no extra cost. Members will also receive additional benefits such as workshops and discounts on other sessions, as well as having their very own photo-membership card!

Group bookings/private karting events are ideal if 4 or more people want to race go-karts, whether you want to just have fun on the track or celebrate someone’s birthday, everyone will enjoy racing our petrol engine go-karts. Groups have sole access to the facilities and track during their event including access to our porter cabin with a comfy seating area. We do not offer any catering services but groups are welcome to bring their own food and refreshments to their event.

 

 

1 HOUR SESSION (£150) Karting for up to 8 drivers

 

2 HOUR SESSION (£275*) Karting for up to 16 drivers

*Concessional rates are available for schools, charities, Lambeth youth groups and disability/SEN groups.

 

Longer sessions can be arranged if you would like either more drivers or more track time. Concessional rates are available for Lambeth youth services, charities, schools and SEN groups for 2 hour sessions only. Bookable sessions are available Monday – Saturday. Right Track Project’s youth support and training programme engages local young people through all aspects of go-karting; from the mechanical maintenance of the karts to the organisation of events. It’s a brilliant opportunity for young people to make a positive impact on their community whilst making new friends, learning new skills and having fun. Upon completion of an initial AQA accredited training course on basic mechanics and marshalling, members will have a chance to complete further training and may be invited to become a young volunteer for the project. Volunteers are integral members of our team and help lead on the delivery of karting sessions.

  

PITSTOP SUPPORTS YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 13 – 17 TO:

  • Build confidence and self-esteem
  • Practice better decision making
  • Gain valuable experience, skills and knowledge
  • Make a positive impact on their community
  • Have a true voice as a member of a youth led project
  • Meet and socialise with new people
  • Work collaboratively as part of a diverse team
  • Achieve their full potential

 

FOLLOWING THE COURSE, YOUNG PEOPLE WILL RECEIVE:

  • Additional training on mechanics, marshalling and go-karting
  • Access to a range of activities, training and workshops
  • 1:1 support from Right Track Project’s mentor
  • Opportunities to volunteer for Right Track Project during private karting events

Our educational workshops provide a fresh and exciting opportunity for schools and youth clubs and we have a variety of educational workshops that can cater for small or large groups. Whether it’s a short course with lots of driving or a longer course with lots of learning, it’s up to you. Attendees can gain AQA accreditation in mechanics and volunteering and it is an exciting opportunity to get into mechanics at the base level. THE RIGHT TRACK CHALLENGE (£350)

The Right Track Challenge is a 3 hour session for up to 12 young people that aims to develop confidence and team-building skills in a creative and engaging way.

This package includes;

  • Driving and racing experience
  • Basic mechanics workshop
  • Health & Safety workshop
  • Marshalling workshop
  • Refreshments

 

 

THE RIGHT TRACK TRAINING (£40 p/person, minimum of 6 p/course)

The Right Track Training package is a full educational course that facilitates up to 12 young people in achieving AQA accreditations in Kart Maintenance and Volunteering, upon completion. 

The course can be completed in 3 x 3 hour sessions, or tailored to meet the time demands of each organisation with varying options for full or half day sessions. The course focuses on developing skills in kart mechanics as well as a volunteering, including taking responsibility of a particular task and demonstrating the ability to act as a positive role model to other young people.

 

This package includes;

  • Driving and racing experience
  • Kart Mechanics workshop
  • Volunteering workshop (including marshalling)
  • Health & Safety workshop
  • AQA accreditation in Kart Maintenance
