Oasis Inclusive Playworkers (Sessional)

 

This is a unique opportunity to work with a well-established and respected local charity to help improve the well-being and life chances of disabled children and young people in Stockwell, London SW8 and beyond.

 

Oasis runs 6 core projects; a Children’s Nature Garden, a Karting Project, an Adventure Playground, a Sports Project, a Volunteering Project and an Inclusion Project.

 

Each of the projects provides unique opportunities for children and young people to play, learn new skills and knowledge and develop confidence and self-esteem.

 

The Oasis Inclusion Project (OIP) has been running for 3.5 years and has recently expanded to operate on a full time basis.

The OIP supports disabled children and young people to access all that Oasis has to offer, by providing 1:1 and 1:4 support for individual children.

 

Based at the Oasis Main Office, but leading inclusive opportunities across all three Oasis sites, this post is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is dedicated to inclusion and play.

The right candidates will be enthusiastic, motivated, creative problem solvers with experience of working with disabled children, young people and their families.

 

Sessions vary, but could be up to 18.5 hours per week during term time and 35 hours per week during playschemes.

Term time sessions: Tuesday to Friday afterschool club (3 hours per session); Saturdays (6.5 hours)

Playscheme sessions: Monday to Friday (6.5 hours per session)

Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour
